BIM – BUILDING INFORMATION MODELING

BIM (Building Information Modeling) is a revolutionary process of designing buildings in 3D. It creates a large-scale digital model used to exchange information between the various entities of the construction process – from designers, structural engineers and constructors to contractors, suppliers, investors, as well as for designers and building managers. So far, it has been used only in ground construction, but now it is also being developed for transport structure planning. It intends to serve not only as a 3D building design but to manage data about the building throughout its lifetime.
